Creative Writing Prompts #1: Write a Break-up Letter

So I bought this creative writing prompt book, just because and to maybe help with inspiration. It has 365 prompts so I could potentially write one every day, which maybe will or won't happen depending on my mood but I did one to start it off write and do one and I think I picked a good one and it made me smile because this was really fun to do, especially if I just let loose and not worry about it so much. The prompt was Write a Break-up Letter, and this is what I wrote...

Dear Jimmy Jr.,

I hope writing this letter is better than doing this over text but less awkward then doing this in person... We are breaking up, I am breaking up with you... It's not you it's me. Actually it's both of us but its mostly you. We're just not good together, we bring out the worst in each other. Remember what happened last year in Vegas? We ended up coming back with matching back tattoos and spending the night in the drunk tank in the police station. Mom, bailed us out but our dads still don't know and if they did they would kill us! DO you know how hard it is to cover a Leonardo DiCaprio tattoo on your back?! DO YOU?! You do, I forgot for a sec... All of that WAS your you fault, you just had to start a fight and lose a bet with that Millionaire at the bar about who deserved an Oscar more Tom Hanks Or Leo DiCaprio. I shouldn't have encouraged you to take the bet or egged you on but that guy was just so arrogant, maybe he would have changed his mind if he knew you were the lead choreographer on the DiCaprio musical. Just thinking about whole situation gets me angry. It really brings into perspective how bad we are for each other. That's when I knew I didn't love you anymore! Maybe it was before that, there were inklings here and there but that whole weekend cemented the thought, for sure. We grew up together and were close but that doesn't mean this has to go anywhere or any further than that. We need to live our own lives a part find people who know who we are and love us for that. Maybe one day if we ever see each other again when we are at least 40 and still not married we can think about it. Please, don't come over for Christmas, I'm going to see Mom, Dad L&G, they won't want to see you. I've already told them we broke up. I also plan on showing Dad the tattoo. It could get ugly...

Good Bye Forever,

Tina

P.S.

I'm taking your Instructional Dance DVDs, Gene love them and he needs the exercise. I'm also taking Mittens the cat and Zeek the Goldfish, and your favorite sweater that is also my favorite sweater, don't come looking for them or me.

P.P.S I also may or may not have used our weekend in Vegas as a plot in my new book. I left you a copy on the table. Let me know if you have any notes or thoughts, actually let Tammy know, she's my agent now.

I freaking love Bob's Burgers by the way so that's why I thought I'd use Tina and Jimmy J. Also its Monday and my husband and I always watch Sunday night Cartoons on Fox so the thought was just in my head. Its kind of cool to see how these characters would be in the their fictional future. Tina the famous writer and Jimmy Jr. a lead choreographer on a film with one of Hollywood's most successful people. Now they should add that to the new Bob's Burgers movie...
